With the Canadian DnB scene blowing up as of late, it’s good to know that the talent base is forever expanding. Profane has been a producer that’s on the lips of many DJ’s and DnB fans, and for good reason. His creative use of Hip-Hop style sampling, edited breakbeats and overall Soul are creating some intricate tapestries, leading to a few tunes already being snapped up for Inperspective & Make:Shift Records. Thing is, the man has a wealth of tunes set to drop, and starting his own imprint is the ideal way to present his distinct sound to the masses. Enter Digital Wreka… -Khal

Wrekanise Recordings

I originally started this imprint for two reasons. One, I had a lot of crazy tunes from other heatmakers sitting around on dub for too long, or wouldn’t be released for a long time, and two, to have an outlet for my more experimental beats. Being a fan of DnB first and foremost, waiting a year or more for tunes I want to get a release (if ever) was frustrating and the polar opposite of how I gained access to music growing up. So one of the main focuses of this imprint is to get the music out to us fans within a better timeframe. -Profane
